Bio
William C. Passodelis, Jr. is an intellectual property attorney with expertise in patent prosecution as well as IP counseling, licensing, and litigation. William has significant experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, including responses to office actions and appeals. He counsels clients in various intellectual property and patent matters, such as patent landscape reviews and portfolio management, as well as non-infringement and validity opinions. William handles IP licensing matters and related issues in transactions, including due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. He also has experience in patent litigation at the US Federal District Court, the International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
William’s practice has spanned various areas of technology. The majority of his work has involved the following electrical and software technologies: computer networking, e-commerce and financial networks, open source software, digital video coding, video conferencing, digital broadcasting, wireless communication, optics, photonic integrated circuits, microscopy, spectroscopy, battery/power management, medical devices, and digital microfluidics. William also has experience with other technology, ranging from gene sequencing to plastic and paper articles and manufacturing processes.
