Bio
Randall A. Notzen is an Intellectual Property attorney with experience in key areas of computer hardware and software design. Early in his career, he served as a patent attorney for a major manufacturer of medical diagnostic imaging equipment and as an electrical engineer working on the design of embedded operating systems using appropriate high and low-level languages; design, fabrication, and packaging of semiconductor devices; design and repair of semiconductor fabrication equipment; and additional forms of electrical and mechanical design. His technical areas include electronics; image processing; computer-based control systems; software protection; semiconductor fabrication and physics; solid state devices; manufacturing of solid state devices; radiation technology; magnetics; optics; process controls and medical engineering.
In the mid-1990s, Randall hosted the Inventors Insider educational series, a compilation of practical information to help inventors understand the importance and process of obtaining patent protection. As host of the series, he provided useful insight and direction for individuals, entrepreneurs, and businesses to help them take the right steps to safeguard their discoveries and innovations.
Randall has particular expertise in counseling clients related to the acquisition, protection, enforcement, and avoidance of infringement of patents, trademarks, and copyrights and the relation of these assets to clients’ businesses.
